5.01 Defining the Regions

The Pennsylvania Chapter is organized into three districts, which include 28 29 regions approved by the Board of Directors. The following is a list of the regions included in each district.

Western District:  1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, 13, 24

Central District:  5, 6, 7, 14, 15, 17, 23, 26

Eastern District:  8, 9, 12, 16, 18, 19, 20,21, 22, 25, 27, 28

Statewide District:  29

New regions are created when a region contains so many chapters that it is difficult to conduct a Region Leadership Conference, which is the main activity organized in each region.  Regions may also be consolidated due to lack of region leadership or limited numbers of chapters in a region.

Chapters may request to be moved from one region to another region and shall provide the rationale for such a move to the Executive Director.  The request to move to different regions will be considered at the January or July Board of Directors meeting for the following year.  The local chapter adviser(s) requesting the move will be permitted to address the Board of Directors regarding their request.

New or reactivated chapters that join after the school year starts have the choice to be placed in Region 29, which will be considered an “incubator” region for the fledgling chapters, or in the region based on its geographical location.
