Feeding Pennsylvania — The 2025-2026 State Project

Did you know?

  • 1 in 8 Pennsylvanians Experiences Food Insecurity; 1 in 6 Pennsylvania children face hunger; 1 in 15 Pennsylvania seniors face hunger.
  • In the last two years, Pennsylvania food insecurity has increased by over 40%.
  • In Pennsylvania, there are 9 food banks and 2,750 food pantries with 60,000+ volunteers to distribute 231 million pounds of food and groceries each year.
  • Plenty of volunteer opportunities, including:
    • Packing food and care boxes for neighbors through drive-up and walk-in distributions; veterans through Military Share; special boxes for income eligible seniors; maternal care boxes for eligible new mothers.
    • High school or school-system wide collaborative efforts to conduct food and/or fund drives for holiday distributions (Thanksgiving, Christmas).

All fundraising checks should be made payable to:  PA FBLA or PA FBLA State Project.

A letter documenting each chapter’s or each region’s contributions will be emailed by Jonathan Lehigh, PA FBLA State Treasurer, shortly after the check is received.  Only checks received at the state office and documentation from the state treasurer will count toward the William Selden Outstanding Chapter Criteria or the state project awards.

Deadline for Contributions for State Project Awards:
All contributions received by April 13, 2026, 12:00 noon, will be counted toward the two state projects awards announced at the SLC Opening Session.  Drop off contributions brought on site at the conference headquarters in the Hershey Lodge, Cocoa Terrace.

Contributions will continue to be accepted from chapters until June 30, 2026.  A final check to Feeding Pennsylvania will be sent to the organization at the end of the fiscal year.
