How Do I Become an FBLA High School or FBLA Middle School Member?

High School Member Grade Eligibility:  Grades 09-12
Middle School Member Grade Eligibility:  Grades 05-08

If your high school has an active FBLA chapter, reach out to the chapter adviser and express your interest in becoming an FBLA member. The chapter adviser will explain the process in your school about joining FBLA.   Not sure if your school has an active chapter or who the adviser is?  Contact Bruce Boncal, PA FBLA Executive Director, bboncal@pafbla.us.  He will share that information with you.

If you are unsure if your middle school has an active middle school chapter, contact Michele Sites, PA FBLA Middle School Coordinator, msites@pafbla.us.  She will share that information with you and point you in the direction of the middle school chapter adviser.

State and National Membership Dues

To become a member, the student pays a unified state and national dues membership fee through the FBLA chapter adviser.  The annual dues fees are:

High School:  $16 ($10 national dues/$6 state dues)
Middle School:  $13 ($10 national dues/$3 state dues)

The payment of dues is usually made through your local high school or middle school chapter; the chapter will then remit the dues to FBLA.  If paying by check, find out from the chapter adviser to whom the check should be made payable.

What are my membership options if my school does not have an FBLA High School or FBLA Middle School chapter?

Pennsylvania FBLA offers the option to become a part of our PA FBLA High School Virtual Chapter or the PA FBLA Middle School Virtual Chapter.  Both chapters are guided by a PA FBLA staff member serving as the VC chapter adviser.

The following students are eligible to be VC members:
1. Students at schools without an FBLA chapter.
2. Students who are homeschooled.
3. Student enrolled in cyber charter schools.
4. Students enrolled in private schools.
5. Students enrolled in brick-and-mortar charter schools.
6. ALL students are welcome to be part of Pennsylvania.
