As the 2025-2026 school year came to a close, it was time for Jim Thorpe’s FBLA chapter to reelect officers. Noelanie Sepulveda, a current high school senior and FBLA member since her freshman year, decided to take up the mantle and run for chapter President, the successor to now college freshman, KaylaAnn Kandy. She was elected by her fellow members after delivering a speech that highlighted her capabilities to lead and serve as President and we couldn’t be more proud.
Sepulveda has held multiple positions in her time with FBLA, including Website Coordinator and Junior Vice President, both positions in which she worked diligently to grow our chapter into what it is today through the creation of our chapter’s website and the planning of fundraisers, chapter activities, and end of the year ceremony!
Outside of what she does for our chapter, Sepulveda is a staple in the community through her community service project, “Be The Help,” in which she puts together Chemo Care Packages for those going through chemotherapy that includes donated goods such as warm socks, crosswords for entertainment, and hand-made get well cards. She presented this project to judges at NLC and came 6th in the entire nation! Sepulveda has grown this project into something that is sustainable and influential, inspiring our underclassmen to run the project after she graduates.
When asked how she felt about all of her accomplishments this past year, her response was, “I am so grateful to be entrusted as chapter President for the 2026-2027 year. Placing sixth at nationals this year and winning that election has been the highlight of my high school career.”
Sepulveda is an incredibly dedicated and important part of our chapter, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have her on our team. We’re looking forward to all she’s going to accomplish as she furthers her education and goes after a doctorate degree after graduation!
