Using technology to support a presentation can significantly enhance a
business leader's effectiveness. This event provides recognition
for FBLA members who demonstrate the ability to effectively deliver an
effective business presentation while using multimedia presentation
technology. The student(s) will complete the project based on the posted
topic on the PA FBLA web site.
Restrictions: Maximum of two presentations per chapter; one team of 1, 2, or 3 members per chapter;
one member may repeat if participating as a part of a team of 2-3 in the
prior year Region Leadership Conference Eligibility: None (not a region event) State Leadership Conference Eligibility: Maximum of two teams per chapter; must
submit project to PA FBLA Executive Director by the published deadline.
Top 10 teams will participate in oral presentation of project at the SLC.
New this year: chapters must submit CDs/DVDs of
students making the actual presentation; not just the factual
information. Judges will use those to evaluate the students'
presentation and determine the top 10
2009-2010 Topic: A nationwide shortage of K-12 business
education teachers now exists. The National Business Education
Association (NBEA) is mounting a marketing campaign to address this
shortage. Your task is to assist NBEA by developing a presentation for
high school students on a career teaching business education. Areas of
this presentation may include, but are not limited to, the following:
(1) nature of the work, (2) working conditions, (3) employment
opportunities, (4) training and other qualifications, (5) advancement,
(6) other points about teaching that you would like to include, (7)
student and teacher success stories, (8) professional opportunities to
serve, and (9) professional networking with other teachers. (FBLA)
